“Explore (and question everything).”

– Daniel Hunter

Jennifer M. Hartsock started her journey as a writer when she was just six-years-old. Late after she and her brother were tucked in bed, her family would sit in the living room, talking about the past. Jennifer would quietly open her bedroom door and listen to the conversation. Their tones swept over her, sparking the desire to one day have stories to tell.

Jennifer writes about life’s struggles and her thoughts on finding answers. She doesn’t only crave knowledge, but also the evolution of the self. She offers how philosophy, science, and sociology have their respective roles in everyday life, and shows how to create beauty from rot, and understand this beauty for what it is: love.

She enjoys nature and artwork, serious conversations and eruptions of laughter. And most of all, she wants to make a difference.

The future is a naked canvas for the world to douse in color.
The brush of paint I offer will be of truth, love, and kindness.”

“You’re living the life of the writer, questioning the world, reflecting on the world, while carving out who you are … I really enjoy your thought-provoking writing, Jennifer. Keep putting the pen to paper – you’re doing it right.”

“What I love about Jennifer’s blog is she’s not afraid to ask the tough questions. In fact, she tackles them in many of her columns she writes for The Commuter. Her insistence in seeking answers in a world full of questions made her a favorite of mine, and her fiction writing is filled with the same sort of fervor.”
